PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) PEEK
polymer is a thermoplastic polymer with good heat resistance. The relative heat index is 260°C, and the thermal deflection temperature of materials reinforced with carbon fiber or glass fiber is greater than 300°C.
PEEK is mainly used in wafer carriers (robotic arm PADs) in semiconductor manufacturing processes, sealing rings in automatic transmissions, etc.PEEK polymers also exhibit excellent chemical resistance next to fluorocarbon polymers and have better mechanical properties than fluorocarbon polymers. This means that PEEK material can be used in hard drive manufacturing and plumbing components that require mechanical strength and chemical/water resistance.
In addition, PBI Advanced Materials uses patented thermoforming technology to manufacture large tubes with diameters greater than 300 mm.
