TPS-TI5000 Series (PAI) Polyamide-Imide

PAI is a non-crystalline resin that is a combination of polyimide with excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength and polyamide with good processability and strong toughness. It is characterized by heat resistance (continuous service temperature 250°C), high thermal deformation resistance (load bending temperature 278°C), mechanical properties (especially high tensile strength and impact resistance), fatigue resistance, flame retardancy, friction, wear characteristics, and excellent resistance to high pressure rupture.

Key Features

Excellent dimensional stability due to low coefficient of linear expansion and low water absorption rate.
Exceptionally outstanding corrosion resistance: it is resistant not only to organic acids such as acetic acid, but also to strong inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, as well as strong alkalis.
Continuous service temperature reaches 220℃. However, special attention must be paid when used under high load and high temperature conditions as the glass transition temperature is only 90℃.
Excellent fatigue resistance and creep resistance due to its high strength and high rigidity properties.
Maintains stable electrical conductivity and conductive loss over a wide frequency range.
TPS-PPS(NC)-SC is an engineering plastic with excellent machinability, on par with super engineering plastics such as TI, PEEK and PTFE. Traditional PPS profiles are prone to fracture during machining, but TPS-PPS(NC)-SC has undergone annealing treatment, which greatly reduces the internal stress generated during extrusion molding. A very smooth machined surface can be obtained by cutting with well-maintained carbide tools.

The main applications of PAl are major parts for office automation equipment, electrical/electronic parts, industrial machinery (semiconductor and liquid crystal manufacturing equipment parts, gold plating equipment parts, steel equipment parts, etc.), automotive parts, etc.
